The Municipal Traffic Police (PMT) and firefighters report that in the early hours of this Thursday, April 16, in the capital, accidents were recorded resulting in deaths and injuries.
A bus crashed into a footbridge at kilometer 18 of the Pacific route, heading to the capital. Eight people are reported injured.
A pedestrian was hit and killed on the San Juan road and 10th avenue, zone 7, section towards El Trébol. There are lane reductions in the area. The victim, in his 40s, has not been identified.
The PMT recommends La Madre Boulevard, Roosevelt Road, Ring Road, 13th Street or Cejusa as alternative routes.
In another incident, a motorcyclist died on La Democracia Boulevard, near Erick Barrondo Park, zone 7.
The motorcycle collided with a header that was pulling a platform. The motorcyclist has not been identified and the section is blocked.
Motorists coming from Tulam Tzu Boulevard are diverted to the Periférico Ring Road, and those coming from zone 7 or La Madre Boulevard, towards the San Juan road or the auxiliary lane of the Periférico.
Another motorcyclist died in a traffic accident when he was traveling along kilometer 6 of the route to the Atlantic, in zone 17. The victim was not identified.
