Three alleged hitmen are detained by the PNC after shooting a woman in Mixco

The National Civil Police (PNC) reported this Friday, April 17, that agents captured alleged hitmen from the Barrio 18 gang, accused of committing an armed attack.

He added that the gang members were captured on 15th Avenue and 1st Street, zone 11 of Mixco.

According to the PNC, the detainees are: Carlos “N”, 19 years old; Andy “N”, 21, and Lester “N”, 23, allegedly responsible for an armed attack against a woman who was injured.

“The detainees, upon noticing the police presence, tried to flee on a motorcycle without a license plate; they were immediately intercepted and a pistol that they were carrying illegally was seized,” the police report added.

The injured woman had a current arrest warrant for the crime of extortion, in addition to registering a record for the same crime in 2020, the PNC added.

The detainees were placed at the disposal of the corresponding courts, while investigations continue to clarify the incident, he indicated.
