The First Division League of Guatemala completed the access phase to the quarterfinals with four series that left emotions, comebacks and penalties. The qualified teams will advance to join the four that already had their direct ticket, thus completing the draw for the quarterfinals of the 2026 Clausura Tournament.
The most striking result was that of Suchitepéquez, which overcame a 2-3 deficit in the first leg to force penalties, where they beat Santa Lucía 3-1 with an aggregate of 4-4 in regulation time.
Chichicasteco advanced with a 2-1 aggregate against AFF Guatemala, Coatepeque beat San Benito 3-2 on aggregate and Nueva Santa Rosa came back to qualify against Huehuetencos with a 3-1 aggregate.
The round also left a negative note. Coatepeque issued an official statement regretting attacks by San Benito fans towards journalists, managers and members of the technical staff of the panelero club, incidents that marred the closing of a tie that had a high sporting level in both games.

The dates and times of the quarterfinals will be defined in the coming days by the Executive Committee of the First Division League, in what promises to be one of the most competitive final phases in recent years in the second category of Guatemalan soccer.
