The Spanish singer-songwriter Rosalía will be recognized as International Composer of the Year at the Ivors 2026 awardswhich will be held in London on May 21, 2026.
The news was announced this Thursday, April 30, through a statement issued by the Ivors Academy, in collaboration with Amazon Music, organizers of the award, which celebrates art, the cultural impact and the enduring importance of songs.
The writing explains that this year an international songwriter will be recognized whose songs have had a cultural and commercial impact in the United Kingdom in the last year. Furthermore, it highlights that Rosalía is rooted in tradition, with a composition that flows naturally through form, language and genreand creates works that feel both deeply authentic and uniquely original.
