Two decades after the film was released The devil wears fashion, Leslie Fremar, celebrity stylist, claims that it was she who inspired the character of Emily Charlton, one of the protagonists of the film, and that she felt betrayed because her image had been used without her consent.

The stylist would have worked for eight months with Lauren Weisberger, author of the book on which the films are based, which allowed for a relationship like Emily and Andy’s in the production.

“I definitely told him that ‘a million girls would kill for that job.’ That was definitely my line.because I really believed it and I knew that she didn’t necessarily want to be there,” he recalled.

Fremar claims that the book “felt like a betrayal”; She stated that she felt exposed and violated because it was based on many experiences he had with Lauren.
