The Empire Music Festival (EMF) emerged in 2014 with the aim of organizing an event of international stature in Guatemala. that would have an impact in the Central American region.
According to the organizers, the EMF is a replica of multi-genre festivals that originated mainly in the US and Europe. In addition, it is focused so that young people have a memorable experience.
For 2026, a new edition was anticipated focused on meeting several of the objectives: holding an outdoor festival for two consecutive days.
On Friday, May 1, the new edition began with a day that featured the participation of national and international artists and several hours of continuous music on three stages (Sol, Luna, Perdidos).
The Finca El Jocotillo, located at Jm 37.5 of the highway to El Salvador, was once again the venue that brought together crowds and that allowed the first day of the Festival, with a lot of music, energy and a diverse artistic proposal.
After hours, attendees began to enjoy the EMF experience which, in addition to the artists’ proposal, had connection in gastronomic areas, rest and entertainment areas.
During the first day of the EFM, attendees enjoyed performances by Cloone, DJ Snake, Myke Towers, Subtronics, Chelina Manuhutu, Devault, Draxx, Jesse Baez, Morten, RØZ, San Pacho, Santos Bravos, Trace, Victor Mendivil, Armandd G, Sam Feldt, Bellakeopuntocom, Nico Falla, No Trial, Viento en Contra and Wiko, who brought talent to the stage and injected their energy into the festival.
“Each edition of the EMF seeks to surprise attendees, and this first day is an example of the commitment to providing a first-class musical experience for everyone,” said Enrique Ponce, spokesperson for Empire Promotions.
Techno, electronic, urban rhythms, pop and rock predominated on Friday, May 1 and according to the organization, this Saturday the 2nd, during the last day of the EMF, the stages will feature those and other rhythms.
