Heat in Guatemala will reach up to 41°C in some regions this week with possible severe storms

Guatemala registers high temperatures and, in some regions, these have exceeded 40 °C. The weekly Insivumeh bulletin announces that the heat will continue from Monday, May 4 to Friday, May 8.

For these days, the forecast is for morning fog, a warm atmosphere during the day and little cloudiness, with an increase in the afternoon hours.

The Insivumeh does not rule out the possibility of rain with electrical activity in regions from the south to the center of the country.

He warned that the prevailing weather conditions are favorable for severe local storms to occur.

He recommended that the population not expose themselves to the sun for prolonged periods and, if necessary, hydrate adequately.
