The AeroMetro Guatemala reported that, as part of the project work, there is a reduction in lanes on 12 Montúfar Street and 0 Avenue, zone 9.
He explained that only the center lane will remain enabled.
He added that, to speed up the routes, Motorists can use 10th and 11th streets, zone 9, towards La Castellana Avenue and Liberación Boulevard as alternate routes.
He recommended that drivers travel with caution and follow the instructions of the Municipal Traffic Police agents.
The Aerometro will operate as an urban cable car for public transport by cable, with continuous movement, designed to speed up the transfer of passengers in Guatemala City.
This project includes two lines, 12 stations and a route of 8.2 kilometers, with an estimated time of 28 minutes in the section between Mixco and El Trébol and an operation of close to 17 hours a day.
According to the company responsible for the project, this system will be able to transport 5,500 passengers per hour in each direction, with an estimated daily capacity of 374,000 users.
The project includes at least 500 cabins, each with space for 12 passengers, which will pass through the stations every few seconds.
