The United States Department of Justice reported on a meeting with the Attorney General of Guatemala, Gabriel García Luna.

He added that the Minister of the Interior of Guatemala, Marco Antonio Villeda, also participated in the meeting.

According to the information, the aim is to strengthen cooperation to dismantle human trafficking networks, combat drug trafficking cartels and bring criminals to justice.

This Thursday, June 11, the Public Ministry expanded details and reported that, during the meeting, the importance of maintaining coordinated actions to strengthen investigations was highlighted.

Also optimize control mechanisms and guarantee transparent, efficient and law-compliant processes.

He also highlighted that international cooperation is strengthened to combat organized crime, human trafficking, criminal structures and other crimes.
