According to versions gathered at the scene, the motorcyclist had been run over by a cargo transport. The authorities reported that a heavy vehicle remains at the scene and that its pilot did not flee; However, it will be up to the competent entities to determine the circumstances of the event and establish possible responsibilities.

The victim has not yet been identified. The authorities indicated that he was driving a red motorcycle with M738KTQ plates.

The incident caused complications in one of the main entry routes to the capital. According to official sources, the line of vehicles reached kilometer 25 of the route to the Pacific, which affected drivers of private transport, cargo and passengers.

Dalia Santos, spokesperson for the Municipal Traffic Police (PMT) of Villa Nueva, reported that due to the accident it was necessary to carry out several vehicle closures to allow the corresponding procedures at the scene.

The measure had a direct impact on the mobility of those traveling to the capital, where traffic moved slowly on several sections of the route.

In addition to the restrictions in the direction towards the capital, the authorities indicated that the voyeur effect generated difficulties in the circulation of vehicles heading towards the south of the country.

“Caution is recommended when traveling through the place, because that draws the attention of people going south, which is also affecting circulation,” Santos explained.
