Guatemala has registered warm weather and rain in some regions in recent days, and for this week, from June 22 to 26, similar weather conditions are forecast, according to the Insivumeh bulletin.
According to the forecast, the rains for this week are associated with local conditions, the entry of humidity from both coastlines and the passage or approach of waves from the east.
Areas with morning fog, warm and humid environments are expected. Drizzles or rain with electrical activity in the afternoon and night are not ruled out.
The predicted rainfall favors the recording of river flooding, floods, landslides, landslides, damage to the road network and possible lahars in the volcanic chain.
In the central plateau, which includes Guatemala City, little cloudiness alternating with partly cloudy periods, as well as a warm and humid environment, is expected.
An increase and development of cloud cover is also expected in the afternoon and evening, with the presence of drizzle or rain with electrical activity. There will be a light northeast wind, changing to the south in the afternoon.
Maximum temperatures in the capital will be 26°C to 28°C, and in the central and western highlands, 23°C to 30°C.
In the Pacific region, the weather will be partially cloudy, alternating with little cloudiness, a warm and humid environment, and increase and development of cloudiness in the afternoon and night, with the possibility of moderate rains accompanied by electrical activity. The thermometer could read between 34°C and 36°C.
In the Motagua region and the valleys of Oriente, little cloudiness is expected alternating with partially cloudy periods, as well as a warm and humid environment during the day.
An increase and development of cloud cover is also expected in the afternoon and evening, with the possibility of rain and electrical activity. Maximum temperatures will range between 36°C and 38°C.
The northern, Caribbean and Northern Transversal Belt regions will have partially cloudy weather and possible drizzle or scattered rain. Maximum temperatures will be between 28°C and 37°C.
