the book Stories of the K’iche’ tells the story and exciting adventures of the twin gods Hunahpú and Ixbalanqué. This is a series of fascicles with an illustrated version of the Popol Wujwritten by Guatemalan writer and illustrator Justo Medrano, better known as “Karei”.

“This is a version of the Popol Wujin illustrated book format. Being a light version, it works for both children and the whole family. One of the objectives of the project is to promote the content of the pre-Columbian document, which we consider to be at the level of the most important works of universal literature,” explains the artist.

In this first volume he addresses the story of Wuqub’ Qak’ix, a god from Mayan mythology who falsely claimed to be the sun and the moon at the same time.
