The Municipal Traffic Police (PMT) of the capital reported that this Friday, June 26, two people died in traffic accidents at different points.

Amílcar Montejo, PMT road spokesman, reported that a person died when the car he was traveling in collided behind a truck.

The tragedy occurred on José Milla road and 23 avenue, zone 6, in the section that leads to Martí street.

The car was destroyed after the strong collision with the truck.

Provial reported that the incident temporarily blocked the southbound passage.

Montejo added that, in another incident, a motorcyclist died in an accident on the Periférico Ring and 13th street, zone 7.

The accident occurred at the entrance of the main road to the auxiliary lane, where the Public Ministry carries out legal proceedings.

He added that there are complications in mobility to the Kaminaljuyú area.

The Departmental Municipal Firefighters responded to an emergency at kilometer 33 of National Route 10, from San Lucas Sacatepéquez to Antigua Guatemala, Sacatepéquez, where a man riding a motorcycle lost control and hit the central flower bed.

The lifeguards provided him with pre-hospital care and transferred him to the Emergency Department of the National Hospital of Antigua Guatemala.
