With more than 800 scheduled activities, Filgua will fill the Majadas Forum with music, reading spaces and cultural activities, where the XXIII edition of the Guatemala International Book Fair 2026.
Readers and authors will be able to participate in forums, presentations and book signings, as well as musical activities that will complement the fair’s programming.
The space dedicated to the promotion of reading will offer, for 13 days, an agenda full of cultural activities, book presentations and national and international guests, including Adolfo Méndez Vides, Francisco Pérez de Antón, Javier Peña López and Denny Beuerbach.
According to the Filgua 2026 agenda, this edition brings together more than 840 cultural activities, 214 book presentations, professional meetings, spaces for librarians and extensive programming for girls, boys and young people.
The edition revolves around three main axes: Germany, Guest Country of Honor, which will offer a series of special activities; the tribute to Nobel Peace Prize winner Rigoberta Menchú, and the commemoration of the 30th anniversary of the signing of the Guatemala Peace Accords.
Under the motto “Let’s go for a country of more readers”, Filgua will bring readers closer to new authors, new books and a varied cultural agenda through its 150 stands.
