One of the most representative traditions of Guatemala City is the Cerrito del Carmen Fair, which arrives in zone 1 in its 2026 edition, with a varied gastronomic offer, games and a celebration in honor of Our Lady of Carmen.

For two weeks, residents and visitors will be able to enjoy typical sweets, traditional Guatemalan food, snacks and various traditional fairground rides, such as the Chicago wheel, the lottery and bumper cars, says the Directorate of Popular Commerce of the Municipality of Guatemala.

76 merchants are expected to participate in this edition of the Cerrito del Carmen Fair, which will take place on Juan Chapín Avenue, between 1st and 4th streets in zone 1 of Guatemala City.

In this space, culture, faith, traditions and history converge that protects this place, older than the city itself, as it was already part of the landscape when the capital was moved to the Ermita Valley 250 years ago, highlights the Municipality of Guatemala.

In this space, both children and adults will be able to find healthy fun thanks to the rides, traditional games and the varied gastronomic offer. Whether as a family, as a couple or with friends, this place is an option to visit within Guatemala City.
