Two people allegedly responsible for running over agents of the National Civil Police (PNC) were captured this Monday, July 6, after a chase.
According to the information, agents from Police Station 14 captured the suspects in the incident when two police officers were carrying out preventive and community outreach actions, within the framework of the Community Police program, in the Castañás neighborhood, zone 11 of Villa Nueva.
The PNC reported that those now detained tried to flee, so it immediately coordinated a search and pursuit operation, and alerted the units in the sector to intercept the vehicle in which they were traveling.
Minutes later, on the way up to Villalobos, Silvano “N”, 28, and Diego “N”, 29, who were driving in the P-903JXT truck, were captured. It is presumed that they were under the influence of liquor.
Diego “N” has a record for the crime of aggravated robbery, since 2020, the PNC stated.
The institution indicated that one of the agents, due to the injuries he suffered, was immediately transferred to a healthcare center.
