A couple traveling on a motorcycle was shot to death this Tuesday, July 7, in sector C of La Alameda, in the place known as El Eucalipto, on the route to the Chimaltenango Regional Hospital, reported the Departmental Municipal Firefighters.
The attack occurred in the limits of the municipality of El Tejar and the departmental capital of Chimaltenango. The victims, a man and a woman, died at the scene and their bodies were left on the motorcycle, which remained on the side of the road.
A child, approximately 2 years old, survived the incident and was unharmed. As a preventive measure, lifeguards took him to a healthcare center for evaluation.
So far the victims have not been identified by the authorities.
Agents of the National Civil Police (PNC) cordoned off the scene while they waited for the arrival of prosecutors from the Public Ministry (MP), who would carry out the corresponding procedures to gather evidence and begin the investigation of the attack.
