After leaving behind a stage focused on stand-up, Juan Pablo Amado will present a play in which he will share part of his personal story and the path that made him one of the standuperos most recognized in the country.
The proposal brings together a fresh cast, unique characters and a narrative built around the people, moments and decisions that shaped his artistic career.
In a combination of theater, humor, memory and vulnerability, The Last Day marks a new stage for the comedian and shows his versatility by presenting his first theatrical work.
“Sometimes, the end is the only possible beginning,” he highlights when presenting the work, which is born from a personal place and gives life to 12 characters that accompany this story. The staging covers moments in Amado’s life with the intention of making the audience laugh, move and inspire.
“Telling my story puts me in a vulnerable space, because I am speaking from things I experienced, people who marked me and moments that made me understand why laughter ended up being my way of connecting with others,” he added.
The work will arrive with eight performances in Guatemala City.
