The event will bring together more than 70 housing projects and expects the attendance of more than 6 thousand visitors during the three days of activities, who will be able to learn about the best options for purchasing housing, access exclusive promotions, special discounts and financing alternatives in one place.

Expocasa represents a strategic platform to promote one of the most important sectors of the Guatemalan economy. Construction and real estate development generate nearly 500,000 direct and indirect jobs, boost productive chains such as the cement, steel, finishing, transportation, commerce and financial services industries, and encourage private investment, contributing to the country’s economic growth.

“Expocasa has established itself as the space where all the actors who make the dream of owning their own home come together. Our objective is to facilitate this process for Guatemalan families and, at the same time, generate business opportunities that strengthen the construction sector and contribute to the economic development of the country. At Expocasa sales are closed, but opportunities are also opened,” highlighted Juan Pablo Estrada, president of the Board of Directors of the CGIC.

In Guatemala, access to decent housing continues to be one of the main social and economic challenges. For this reason, initiatives such as Expocasa bring families closer to housing solutions adapted to different needs and payment capacities, facilitating direct contact with developers, banking institutions and financing entities.

The fair also represents an important opportunity for banking, by promoting the placement of mortgage loans; for developers and builders, by increasing sales and expanding their customer base; and for companies that provide products and services for the home, who find an audience highly interested in investing in their assets.

“Every year we seek to innovate to offer a better experience to visitors and exhibitors. This edition will have workshops with banks to make better financial decisions, a family agenda with activities for all ages, and an Aerometro booth. We know that buying a home is one of the most important decisions in a family’s life,” said Hugo Bosque, president of the Expocasa 2026 Organizing Committee.

Expocasa will have the participation of real estate developers, construction companies, marketers of urbanized land, banks, FHA and companies dedicated to home furnishings, offering a comprehensive experience for those looking to buy, build or invest in housing.

In addition to the commercial opportunities, attendees will enjoy a family atmosphere and will be able to see a wide range of real estate offers in a single tour, compare projects, receive specialized advice and advance in the prequalification process to purchase their home.

With more than two decades of experience, Expocasa remains the reference event for the national real estate market, reaffirming the CGIC’s commitment to sustainable growth, job creation and the promotion of conditions that allow more Guatemalans to access their own home.

It should be noted that access to adequate housing continues to be a structural challenge in Guatemala, since only 38.1% of households have adequate housing conditions, according to the National Development Priorities.

In this context, Expocasa 2026 is consolidated as the space that connects Guatemalan families with real housing projects, financing and solutions, backed by a mortgage loan that grew 8.8% year-on-year as of April 2026.
