The night also left an emotional meeting between Vozinha and René Higuita. The former Colombian goalkeeper greeted the Cape Verdean goalkeeper with a hug, who confessed with a laugh that he once tried to imitate the famous “scorpion kick”.
Higuita responded with praise that reflected the African’s impact on the 2026 World Cup. “He is the man of the moment”stated the Colombian when referring to Cape Verde’s historic performance.
In addition to Campos and Higuita, Vozinha shared with other football legends such as Ronaldo Nazário, Cafú, Javier Zanetti, David Trezeguet and Davor Šuker. He also coincided with the tennis player Novak Djokovic and the Mexicans Luis “El Matador” Hernández and André-Pierre Gignac.
The Portuguese Chaves goalkeeper closed the evening becoming one of the most sought-after figures of the event, confirming the recognition he earned after his outstanding performance with Cape Verde in the 2026 World Cup.
