The Volunteer Firefighters shared information about a traffic accident at kilometer 27 of the highway to El Salvador this Monday, July 20.
At the scene, a trailer and a pick-up truck collided and were left on the lanes towards the capital, where the passage remains temporarily interrupted.
Lifeguards rescued a man who was not identified with hydraulic equipment. After stabilizing him, he was transferred in a delicate condition to a healthcare center.
Provial reported that the crossing is enabled in one lane, which regulates vehicle traffic.
The Municipal Traffic Police of Fraijanes reported that the passage to Guatemala City is complicated.
In another incident, the Departmental Municipal Firefighters of Sumpango, Sacatepéquez, responded to an emergency recorded at kilometer 36 of the Inter-American route, where a traffic accident occurred.
Upon arriving at the scene, the rescuers located a man who was riding a motorcycle and who, for unknown reasons, skidded on the asphalt strip and fell onto the road.
After evaluating him, the lifeguards determined that he suffered trauma to different parts of the body and multiple injuries.
After providing pre-hospital care, the motorcyclist was transferred to the Chimaltenango Regional Hospital, where he was under the care of medical personnel for evaluation and treatment.
