The Municipal Traffic Police (PMT) of Villa Canales reports that this Wednesday, July 22, protesters maintain a blockade at kilometer 16 of the route to that municipality, in the Los Álamos section, which affects circulation in both directions.

The PMT warns that the passage is completely interrupted, so it recommends drivers use alternative routes and take the necessary precautions to avoid setbacks.

In addition, it warns that the situation drastically complicates vehicular mobility on the sector’s routes, which is why it suggests avoiding circulation through Boca del Monte and the Los Álamos section.

Agents monitor the situation and will keep the population informed of any changes, according to the PMT.

The PMT of San Miguel Petapa reports that drivers of private vehicles, motorcycle taxis and extra-urban buses participate in the demonstration.

In that municipality there is also a blockade on the main route of Prados de Villa Hermosa, in sector 11 and the entrance to the road distributor.

As an alternative route, the PMT suggests using the Aguilar Batres road towards El Frutal Boulevard, from the Wholesale Central.

The PMT of Villa Canales also reports that the Rustrián Chichimecas route is also blocked, so it suggests not using Chichimecas as an alternative route due to the blockages.

Although the reason for the demonstrations is unknown, they are taking place in the context of the rise in fuel prices, which has already sparked protests.
