The Municipal Firefighters reported that, early this Friday, July 24, calls came to the emergency line to alert about a suspicious package abandoned on the public road, on 7th Avenue and Vía 3, zone 4 of the capital.
They added that, when the emergency units showed up, emergency medical technicians carried out a preliminary inspection and established that it was the body of a deceased person.
According to the report, the body shows visible signs of violence and was found wrapped in nylon and sheets.
The first responders immediately alerted agents of the National Civil Police, who proceeded to cordon off the area and secure the scene pending the arrival of prosecutors and experts from the Public Ministry, in charge of carrying out the corresponding procedures and investigations.
The discovery of bodies has been recurrent in recent days. On July 21, the Municipal Firefighters reported the discovery of four deceased people in the Ciudad Real I neighborhood, zone 12 of Villa Nueva.
According to the report, the first emergency unit arrived at 2nd Avenue and 4th Street, where it confirmed the location of two people who died on public roads. The bodies were gagged and wrapped in bags.
Another unit of the Municipal Firefighters reported on that occasion about the discovery of two other deceased people on 1st Avenue and 5th Street in the same neighborhood. The victims were located on a public street and were wrapped in sheets.
