San Pedro FC makes its official debut in the National League this Saturday, July 25, when it hosts Xelajú MC in what will be one of the most special matches in the history of the San Pedro club.
The Gallos, who achieved promotion last season under the direction of coach Edwin Vásquez, come to this debut with the hope of showing that they are ready to compete in the highest circuit of Chapín soccer against a rival of the stature of the Superchivos who arrive as runners-up in the previous tournament.
On the Superchivos side, Xelajú MC comes to the game under the direction of Roberto Hernández who begins his second consecutive tournament leading the Quetzaltecan team. The Superchivos runners-up of the previous tournament will seek to get Apertura 2026 off to a good start and take advantage of the inexperience of a San Pedro FC that is making its debut in the National League to add its first three points of the championship.
