The new Real Madrid player, Marc Cucurella, fulfilled one of the most striking promises left by the 2026 World Cup: he got the face of coach Luis de la Fuente tattooed, as he had announced if Spain won the title.
“Promises are kept,” the Spanish international wrote in an Instagram story, in which he appears alongside tattoo artist Ganga and content creator Ceciarmy, who documented the tattoo moment.
The full-back, who is enjoying his vacation after winning the World Cup with Spain, had assured during the tournament concentration that he would immortalize the coach on his skin if La Roja lifted the World Cup.
The design shows Luis de la Fuente holding the World Cup trophy, with the tournament’s official logo in the background.
“Today is a very important day for Spain because the promise is fulfilled. We are going to Cucurella’s house to tattoo him, this is going to be crazy,” said Ceciarmy in a video published before performing the tattoo.
The story didn’t end there. The content creator launched a new challenge to the footballer: if Spain also wins the 2030 World Cup, Cucurella must fulfill the comment with the most “likes” published on the social network X.
Teammate Álex Baena also promised to get Luis de la Fuente’s face tattooed in case Spain won the championship, although so far he has not shown if he fulfilled that bet.
Spain won its second world title on July 19 by defeating Argentina 1-0 in the final. Cucurella started during the decisive match and established himself as one of the key pieces of the team led by Luis de la Fuente.
