The Archbishopric of Guatemala reported on the official visit to the country of Cardinal Pietro Parolin, Secretary of State of the Holy See.

He added that Parolin will preside over the holy mass at the Metropolitan Cathedral this Sunday, August 2, at 12 noon.

Infobae reported that the spokesman for the Archbishopric of Guatemala, Luis Sandoval, indicated that Parolin is the main collaborator of the Holy See in relations with the States and that his visit will be during this weekend.

He stressed that the visit responds to the 90 years of diplomatic relations that the State of Guatemala maintains with the Vatican.

Sandoval highlighted that Parolin is one of the closest collaborators of Pope Leo XIV.

He will also participate in a meeting with clergy from across the country.

He added that this visit spiritually unites the faithful with the Holy Father; Furthermore, it strengthens the certainty of faith and the diplomatic relationship with the Holy See.

This highly experienced diplomat also served as Secretary of State for almost the entire pontificate of Francis and is one of the leading figures on the international scene.
