US President Donald Trump announced on July 27 that he will stop bombing Iran with the aim of seeking a new agreement to end the war.

However, the president warned that, if he does not reach an agreement and the new negotiations fail, he will resume the attacks.

“We are in very deep conversations with Iran. If they do not work, we will return to forceful military actions,” Trump told the digital media. Axios.

When asked how long these new negotiations will last, Trump responded that it won’t be long.

“Not much time. Either they move fast or they don’t move at all,” Trump warned.

On July 24, Trump decided to stop attacks against the Islamic Republic.

Part of the decision was due to the influence of its allies in the Middle East, who also mediate in the conflict.

“Everyone who deals with Iran asked me, ‘Don’t shoot,'” Trump said.

The president’s statements come before meeting this Tuesday with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who will be in Washington to attend the funeral of Republican Senator Lindsey Graham.

“I’m going to talk to Bibi about the fact that if I weren’t president, Iran would already have nuclear weapons and Israel would have been destroyed,” he said.

Last Thursday, the US carried out its latest round of bombings against the Islamic Republic, in the thirteenth consecutive day of attacks since the truce agreed in June was broken.
