The plot revolves around Pedro, played by Jorge Hernández, who decides to migrate from South America after the death of his wife during childbirth due to the lack of economic resources.
During his trip, Pedro carries with him an accordion and, based on “Jalón”, seeks to reach the United States. On his way he meets Fidel Funes and his marimba orchestra, who give him a rule in Guatemala.
In the scene, Jorge is surrounded by the musicians of the group and, seeing him with the accordion, Fidel Funes asks:
“What are you musician?”
Hesitant, Jorge replies:
“No, I would like!”
Then, with doubts, continue:
“But … but I know a song here.”
Given this, Fidel Funes asks him to sing, thus starting Xelajú moon With his accordion. Upon hearing it, Funes makes a signal to his musicians and joins his trumpet to interpret the song.
The scene ends with Jorge Hernández, Fidel Funes and the musicians of the Marimba Orchestra singing together while they continue their bus trip through Guatemala.
