In the annual session of the Guatemalan Association of Exporters (AGEXPORT) new managers were elected and Francisco Ralda was elected as president of the Board of Directors to cover the 2025-2027 period.
As vice president, Carlos Arias Bouscayrol of the costume and textile commission (Vestex) was elected.
“Assuming the presidency of an organization with such trajectory and transcendence for the development of the country as Agexport is an honor and a great responsibility. Undoubtedly, feeling supported by this board of directors and the other 27 that exist in the association, causes one to carry out the task. What motivates me is the possibility of continuing to build a country with opportunities, strengthening export as a development engine, ”Ralda said during the ceremony.
He reiterated that leading represents an opportunity to act as a bridge between the talent, innovation and capacity of Guatemalan companies. It is a task that is done as a team.
“There is a clear understanding that the competitiveness of a country is systemic. The Government, Congress and Public Policies play a determining role and, on the other hand, there is the task of entrepreneurs to innovate, seek opportunities and up to date with technology, ”he concluded.
