Two men and a woman were captured marked from cell phones during concert by the carnival in Mazatenango.

Police officers of the 33rd Police Station of the National Civil Police (PNC) reported on Sunday, March 2 who captured three alleged responsible for the theft and theft of cell phones to people who attended a concert for the “Carnival Mazateco 2025” at the Carlos Salazar de Mazatenango stadium.
The captured are the Nicaraguan Steven “N”, 35, and the Guatemalans Juan “N”, 33, and Smerlhing “N”, 33.
“These individuals took advantage of the fact that people were distracted by observing the concert to subtract cell phones, but one of the victims noticed and denounces before the PNC that immediately acts,” according to the PNC.
He said that the police upon receiving the complaint made a search and located the suspects when they intended to flee in the P869JQZ car, a 2008 polychrome blue.
Agents intercepted and captured them at kilometer 158 of the CA2 route, Mazatenango, Suchitepéquez.
Inside the vehicle, in a mariconera they had 15 cell phones stolen to different people in the concert, the PNC added.
To the place was presented one of the victims who “fully recognized them as those responsible for the fact and the phone of their property.”
