The Prosecutor’s Office of Crimes against Foreign Tourists of the Public Ministry (MP) made an inspection diligence of septic tanks around hotels and restaurants of the Tikal National Park, in Petén
The diligence held on Thursday, May 22 was in follow -up to the disappearance of American tourist Raymond Vincent Ashcraft, 66, on February 3, 2023 in Tikal.
A little more than two years after the mysterious disappearance from abroad there are still no traces of their whereabouts, according to the authorities.
In addition, Interpol maintains an alert for the disappearance of the American citizen.
In 2023, Ashcraft’s relatives shared both their photograph and some telephone numbers to contact them in case any person has knowledge about their whereabouts.
In January 2022, another similar case occurred, when German tourist Baitz Stephan, 53, disappeared when he visited the Tikal National Park, two days later he was located lifeless in that place.
