The film led by Sean Baker (also a screenwriter and in charge of the assembly) won the Oscar for Best Oscar Award film for the best original script, best director, best assembly and the best actress.

The film follows the story of a Stripper between New York and Las Vegas. Anora “Ani” Mikheeva (played by Mickey Madison) is a young woman who lives in a Russian-American neighborhood in Brooklyn and meets Ivan “Vanya” Zaharov (Mark Eidelstein), the son of a Russian oligarch.

Vanya arrived in the United States to study, but lives in a mansion of his family in Brooklyn and dedicates his time to video games rather than the study. In addition, he hires Ani and pays 15 thousand dollars.

During a trip to Las Vegas, Vanya asks Ani to marry him to get the “Green Card.” Thus, Brooklyn’s girl has the opportunity to live a story of Cinderella.

However, when the news arrives in Russia, its fairy tale is threatened, since Vanya’s parents leave for New York to get the cancellation of marriage.
