He announced that this Friday, June 13, the technical teams will hold a virtual meeting to prepare the agenda of the ministerial session that will be held next week (on date to be defined).
“The security and dignity of our peoples is first,” according to the Guatemalan president.
The Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs, Eduardo Escobedo, confirmed that Guatemala has already received a response from the Mexican government about the complaint letter sent to that country on Tuesday, June 10.
According to the official, the authorities of Mexico recognized the same position as Guatemala and reported that the case continues under investigation.
Escobedo also indicated that a bilateral meeting of the high level of security group was proposed; However, the date of said meeting has not yet been defined.
