The Public Ministry (MP) reported that on Tuesday, June 17, two drug trafficking people were extradited to the United States.
“Today formal compliance with extradition of Steven Ovaldino Lorenzana Alvarenga, also known as Chipiand of Allan Daniel Mendoza Mendoza, alias meats, carnitas or Allan Mendoza ”said the MP.
He added: “Both were delivered to the United States government, thanks to the work led by the Public Ministry and the inter -institutional coordination that allowed its apprehension.”
According to the investigating entity, “the two are required by the United States District Court for the Columbia district for drug -related crimes.”
On May 5, Lorenzana Alvarenga agreed to be extradited to the United States, where justice requires it for crimes related to drug trafficking and arms trafficking, judicial sources reported.
Lorenzana was arrested in the village of La Palma, Río Hondo, Zacapa, on April 14, during an operation of anti -narcotics agents of the National Civil Police (PNC), which complied with an arrest warrant.
Lorenzana Alvarenga, aka “Chipi”, 30, is the son of Ovaldino Lorenzana Cordón, according to police reports.
Allan Daniel Mendoza, known as “Carnitas”, agreed to be extradited to the United States at an audience held on Friday, May 9.
Mendoza is required for crimes related to drug trafficking, as an investigation indicates it of belonging to the structure of “Los Lorenzana”, according to authorities.
