A man who was recorded while assaulting a 15 -year -old student was linked to criminal proceedings for the crime of sexual aggression.

Julio Emanuel Gómez López was linked to criminal proceedings on Wednesday, March 5 for sexual aggression, after the Public Ministry (MP) pointed it out of ATacar a teenager in one of the streets of the Historic Center of Guatemala City, Judicial sources reported.

Gomez was captured after A video in which the aggression against a student is observed In zone 1 of the capital it went viral, since it was indicated that it was a case of sexual violence and not an assault.

“The Prosecutor’s Office of Children and Adolescents presented sufficient rational indications before the specialized court, which issued a processing order and ordered the preventive detention against Julio Emanuel Gómez López, to face criminal proceedings for the crime of sexual aggression,” said the MP.

During the First Declaration Hearing, the Prosecutor’s Office charged the syndicate the events that occurred on March 4, 2025, to the detriment of a 15 -year -old teenager who was heading to his study center.
