The gas cylinder has increased between Q10 and Q40, according to its weight, so far this year. So far, an explanation of the reasons for the increase has not been provided, authorities of the Consumer Attention and Assistance Directorate (Diaco) recognized during a summons in Congress.
The 25 -pound cylinder had an increase of Q10, going from Q110 to Q120; the 35 pounds rose Q14, from Q154 to Q168; and the 100 pounds recorded an increase of Q40, from Q440 to Q480. These increases were given in mid -February.
Karina Donis, director of the Diaco, said she is still aware of the technical report of the Ministry of Energy and Mines (MEM) about the reasons for the increase.
“The evaluation is already being done in the legal department, only waiting for the final report of the General Directorate of Hydrocarbons,” Donis said.
The deputies of the VOS bench asked the officials of the Ministry of Economy to apply sanctions through the newly created competence law.
