After 24 hours of voting, the result was overwhelming: more than 95% of the participants voted with a resounding “yes”, showing their support for the idea that Ruiz leads a change in the leadership of Guatemalan football. The massive response of the fans did not go unnoticed by the former soccer player, who again pronounced himself in his social networks with a direct message.

Ruiz wrote on his social networks, making it clear that his intention to generate changes in the structure of Guatemalan football remains firm.
But the most striking of his message came in the second part of his publication, where he showed that in the next few days he could reveal information about the internal structure of the Fedefut.
“I will talk about football from now on (few will understand) and reveal names of departmental representatives. Attentive!”
The message has generated multiple reactions in the national football environment. While some see in Ruiz a figure that could boost deep changes in Fedefut, others consider that their position remains more media than a true intention to compete for the presidency.
