The passage of vehicles will be temporarily interrupted this weekend at kilometer 11.5 of the route to El Salvador.

The Ministry of Communications Infrastructure and Housing (CIV) has reported a total traffic closure for six hours at kilometer 11.5 of the route to El Salvador, as part of the construction work of two bridges.

The closure is scheduled this Friday, March 7 from 10 pm until 4.00 on Saturday 8, according to the CIV.

The closure will be to enable lanes in the new bridge and continue with the construction of the second bridge.

The CIV has to enable two lanes on the newly finished bridge in the direction of the capital.

Motorists recommended planning their tours in advance, considering alternate routes and following the indications of the Municipal Traffic Police (PMT).

Amílcar Montejo, road spokesman of the PMT of the capital, recommended alternate routes while the closure of km 11.5 of the route to El Salvador.
