Jesús Catalino, 2 years old, who was bitten on his face by a pig recovers in the Pediatrics area of ​​the Roosevelt Hospital.

The attack against the child was recorded in the La Estancia village, San Martín Jilotepeque, Chimaltenango.

After the incident, the child was transferred to the National Hospital of Chimaltenango, but due to the severity of the wound, the doctors sent him to the Roosevelt hospital, where he remains in the intensive care area.

The patient is stable, although his condition remains delicate and requires mechanical ventilation due to the area affected by the bite.

Ricardo Menéndez, emergency head, reported that the child was admitted on Thursday, March 6 with fractures in the jaw, loss of fabric in the face and a cut in one of the eyelids.

The child is under the supervision of infectologists, plastic surgeons and pediatricians.

In addition, it receives antibiotic treatment to control facial inflammation.

As reported, the child will need several surgeries, and his family requires financial support to pay for the emergency.
