The disciplinary body of the National League sanctioned Deportivo Guastatoya with a fine of Q20 thousand after the incidents registered in its match against Antigua GFC, corresponding to day 12 of the Clausura 2025 Tournament. The decision was made after an amateur launched a bag with water to the playing field, impacting the antigraine player Óscar Santis.
The arbitration report detailed the incident, which led the National League to take measures against the Yellow Chest Club, applying the economic fine for “launching objects to the pitch”, a foul that is typified in the disciplinary regulations of the tournament.
In addition to the economic sanction, the disciplinary body established that if the club manages to identify the person in charge of the incident, it must be forbidden to enter the stadium for two years, as part of the measures to avoid this type of situations in the future.
The incident occurred during the second half of the game, when Oscar Santis prepared to execute a free kick near the band. At that time, from the local tribune a water bag was thrown that hit the player, generating discomfort and a brief interruption in the game.
Guastatoya, who is going through a complicated moment in the accumulated table, must now assume this economic sanction while seeking to improve its sports performance in Clausura 2025.
Although the incident did not have major repercussions on the development of the game, the National League has reiterated its position against this type of acts, warning that clubs are responsible for the behavior of their fans.

Guastatoya is expected to take measures to avoid future situations that may affect its image and economic stability. The National League has been emphatic that any act of indiscipline by the fans will be immediately sanctioned, in an effort to guarantee the security in the stadiums of the country.
For now, Guastatoya must focus on his next visiting match against communications, but with the pressure of this new fine and the need to improve his performance in the tournament.
