The magnate Elon Musk denounced on Monday, March 10, a “mass cyber attack” against the social network X (of his property), which is experiencing problems throughout the day, and suggested that behind there is a “coordinated group and/or a country” and then placed its origin in Ukraine.
“There were (there are still) a massive cyber attack against X. They attack us every day, but this has been done with many resources. A large coordinated group and/or a country is involved. Finding …”, wrote the businessman in that same network in his first explanation about what happened.
Shortly after Musk, in an interview in Fox News, revealed that today there was “a massive cyberattack to try to drop the X system with IP addresses (number that identifies a device within a network) in the Ukraine area.”
Thousands of users in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom and other countries reported operating problems in that social network on the Downdector Portal, with the highest incidence around 10:00 hours ET (14.00 GMT), according to 40 thousand records.
Musk responded to a publication that spoke of “protests against Doge” (Department of Government Efficiency of the Government of Donald Trump), attacks on Tesla stores (his electric vehicle company) and ventured that the falls of X were the result of an “attack.”
After confirming the cyber attack in a publication, a user suggested that “want to silence you this platform”, to which Musk replied: “Yes.”
Today’s problems cover from the slowness in the loading of the platform to the appearance of error messages with code 520, which alludes to web servers and refers to the website of the Cloudflare cybersecurity company.
