The municipal firefighters reported on an armed attack at kilometer 8.5 of the route to the Atlantic, which left two people injured.
According to the firefighters report, those affected are a 30 -year -old man and a child under 7.
The child was transferred to the Guatemalan Institute of Social Security (IGSS), while the man was mobilized to the General Hospital. Firefighters added that the latter was delicate.
Subsequently, the authorities indicated that the injured man died when he entered the health center.
According to photographs shared by the relief bodies, several bullet caps are observed in the surroundings of the vehicle in which the victims of the attack were mobilized.
