A collapse of great proportions occurred at kilometer 65 of the CA-9 North route, known as the route to the Atlantic, blocked on Saturday, August 30 the lanes to the north, reported the Ministry of Communications, Infrastructure and Housing (CIV).

According to official information, the slip and land sliding caused the total closure in that section. Provial brigades regulate vehicular traffic by means of a reversible lane.

Machinery and personnel of the General Directorate of Roads are transferred to the place to attend the emergency. However, due to the continuity of the landslides, the removal work will be resumed tomorrow Sunday, provided that the stability conditions of the slope improve.

The authorities ask drivers caution when driving through that section, reduce the speed to join the reversible lane and avoid stopping to observe or take photographs.

The CIV reiterated that it works to restore the step as soon as possible, in coordination with Provial and other institutions.
