The Attorney General’s Office (PGN) seeks to reunify 130 minors who were rescued from the Lev Tahor sect. To do this, a legal process that begins this Wednesday with definitive audiences must be exhausted.

This Wednesday, March 12, the final hearings began in the Lev Tahor case, with the purpose of determining the custody of 130 children and adolescents who were rescued from the sect and now under the protection of the Secretariat of Social Welfare, official sources reported.
In these proceedings it will be established if the minors will be returned to their parents or if they will be delivered to an ideal family resource, even outside the country.
In total, 169 hearings related to this case will be held, in which it is analyzed, through a cultural expert opinion, the practices and dynamics of the Lev Tahor sect and the psychological impact they have caused in minors.
According to the PGN, 226 children and adolescents are under the protection of the Law on Integral Protection of Children and Adolescents.
For its part, the Ministry of Social Welfare reported that, so far, 13 children and a baby have been reunified with their families, at the request of the PGN.
