The Public Ministry (MP) reported this March 14 that William Edgardo Sandoval Pinto, former public health and social assistance, was linked to the crime of fraud.
According to the MP, the processing order was issued by the Fourth Pluripersonal Court of Criminal First Instance, Narcoactivity and Crimes against the Environment, at the request of the Prosecutor’s Office against Corruption.
The MP investigation indicates that Pinto, when he was in office on February 20, 2014, would have hired the technical services of Hilda Patricia Marroquín, despite the fact that she did not prove experience to perform the activities for which she was hired.
The MP added that the Court imposed an economic bond of Q5 thousand, in addition to granting the authorities two months to conclude the investigation.
Likewise, the judiciary imposed, as coercion measures, the obligation to place its fingerprint once a month in the biometric registration apparatus located at the headquarters of the Public Ministry, the authority points out.
