The administration of Federated cycling in Guatemala returned to his former authorities, despite having been removed on February 25. A provisional amparo returned them to their positions, leaving the dismissal ordered by the Autonomous Sports Confederation of Guatemala (CDAG).
He Amparo identified with the number 01190-2025-00048 was resolved on March 5according to the document. But the effects of its resolution were barely disclosed this Monday, March 17.
The resolution that annulled the CDAG decision and returned control of the National Federation of Cycling to the Interim Executive Committee was issued by the Sixth contentious and administrative room. Judicial body composed of magistrates Irma Yolanda Sosa Flores, president; and the vowels Roberto Estuardo Morales Gómez and Caren Orfilia Guzmán Sagastume.
Said Interim Committee is made up of: José Eduardo Alejos (President), Óscar Aníbal Coyoy (Secretary) and Elena de la Cruz (Treasurer).
He Provisional amparo resolved suspended Agreement 33-2025 issued by the CDAG last February. He had created the Transition Commission of the National Cycling Federationthat now was without effect next to everything they have resolved.
Therefore, The Chamber leaves the work of the Transition Commission of the National Federation of Cycling, which had been appointed by the Executive Committee of the Autonomous Sports Confederation of Guatemala (CDAG) and was composed of Víctor Manuel Castañeda (President), Hugo Martínez (Secretary) and Paul Briere Samayoa (treasurer).
The CDAG has, since it is notified, five days to comply with the provisional protection that favors the former authorities of federated cycling.
The Administrative Chamber in charge of the case explains that the sports authorities must transfer the documents that explain that they have respected and comply with the provisional protection. Otherwise, the resolution warns that they could incur “Legal responsibilities” before a possible breach.
