Due to the blockages on different routes as a protest against the mandatory insurance for third parties, decreed by the Government, several schools and universities will teach virtual classes on Wednesday, March 19, since there is the possibility that the demonstrations persist.

Although the Ministry of Education has not officialized the suspension of face -to -face classes, several educational establishments have informed their students to remain at home and connect virtually due to blockages.

The Ministry of Education clarified: “The face -to -face classes are not suspended. However, fathers and mothers have the freedom to not send their children to educational centers, without fear of sanctions, if they face difficulties to mobilize.”

Among the establishments that have confirmed that they will work on March 19 in person are the Italian school and the Javier Liceo, among others. In addition, the University of the Isthmus, the Mesoamerican University and the University of the Valley adopted the same measure.

This Tuesday, March 18, at least 13 points of the capital were blocked by people dissatisfied with the governmental disposition that forces all vehicle owners to pay insurance for damage to third parties, as a consequence of the high number of traffic accidents.
