Wife of Jorge Gaitán Castro Exposes Corruption and Truth About the AAA

An explosive letter, dated January 8, 2025, addressed to Ana Lombardía and Luis Martínez of the American Arbitration Association (AAA), has sparked a storm in the world of international arbitration.

In the letter, María Cristina González Flores, wife of Jorge Alberto Gaitán Castro—a man accused of corruption and multiple crimes—makes serious accusations against the AAA and several key figures in a multi-million dollar cover-up scheme.

“It is outrageous and inexcusable that an institution like the AAA allows an injustice of this magnitude to occur before its own eyes and refuses to act,” said González Flores.

Serious Allegations Against the AAA

González Flores accuses the AAA of allowing and facilitating her husband’s impunity. According to her claims, Jorge Gaitán Castro has used unlimited financial resources to evade justice in Guatemala and El Salvador.

“In El Salvador, arrest warrants have been issued against him and his father. I am convinced that sooner or later, justice will be served in his case, and he will no longer be able to laugh about it,” she stated.

The letter further reveals that John Rainieri and Howard Mandel, owners of Peppertree Capital Management, INC., promised Gaitán a bonus of over half a million dollars upon completion of the arbitration—a “reward” for his cooperation.

“I know this because he always talked about it, justifying his actions and the risk he was taking, saying that he wasn’t doing it for himself but for his family,” she detailed.

A Network of Corruption and Criminal Connections

The letter describes a vast corruption network involving:

  • Carol Echeverría and Jeny Torres (Gaitán’s mistresses)
  • Corrupt politicians
  • Lawyers (one of whom was accused of attempted murder)
  • Drug traffickers
  • International criminals, including Enrique Sánchez Hernández

According to González Flores, all of these figures played a role in Gaitán’s illicit activities.

She also names Carrillo, Alejos, and Pinzón as actors who have protected Gaitán’s actions for financial gain, despite knowing the truth.

The AAA’s Role: Will It Protect Criminals?

A central question in the letter is the AAA’s role in the corruption scheme:

  • Are they complicit in what is happening?
  • Will they allow a final ruling that protects criminals like Jorge Gaitán?
  • What do they stand to gain from it?

González Flores also expresses fear for her life and that of her family, stating that her husband is involved in an international criminal organization. She claims to have taken precautions to ensure that everything she knows will come to light if anything happens to her.

“My life could be in danger. My husband is involved in an international criminal organization, so it is fair to say that I fear for my life and that of my family. I have taken precautions so that everything I know and have witnessed will be exposed if something happens to me,” González Flores declared.

A Call for Action and Justice

The letter concludes with a direct plea to the AAA to do its job and stop protecting criminals through arbitration. The question that remains is whether the international arbitration system will respond to these serious accusations and take action to ensure transparency and justice in dispute resolution.
