Congress Advances in neurosciences and the future of mental healthorganized by the Guatemala Psychiatric Association, will be carried out in a hybrid way From Thursday 20 to Saturday, March 22. In this transcendental event, a group of experts in psychiatry, psychology and various medical specialties will meet to offer an interdisciplinary and multimodal approach in the diagnosis and Treatment of mental disordersas well as the neuropsychiatric manifestations associated with medical conditions of different specialties, said Dr. Ileana Díaz Morán, president of the Board of Directors of the Psychiatric Association of Guatemala and president of the Scientific Committee organizing the Congress.
Congress will address issues such as cognitive neuroscience, innovation in psychopharmacology, integration of third generation psychotherapies, diagnostic studies of neuroimaging and intelligent systems, as well as techniques of brain stimulation and artificial intelligence.
The first presentation on Thursday, March 20 will be about an update in depression management, as well as the understanding of suicide from a holistic perspective, directed by Dr. Mayra Recino Becker.
