They investigate how a minor entered a gun to an educational center in the Central America neighborhood, zone 7

A 14 -year -old teenager was surprised this Friday, March 21 while manipulating a 9 mm caliber gun in an educational center in zone 7 of the capital. He was sent to a competent court, while the authorities try to establish the origin of the firearm and the intentions of the child.
The authorities have not revealed the name of the educational center or if the driving adolescent is a student’s student or if he entered without authorization to the property.
In a follow -up to a complaint, agents of the 14th Civil Police (PNC) referred to the Court of Minors in conflict with the criminal law to a child under 14 who was surprised with a gun in an educational center located in the San Juan road, Colonia Centro América, Zone 7.
According to the PNC: the communication protocols and the approach between the Police and the educational community allowed the seizure of a CZ brand gun, 9 mm caliber, with two loaders and 14 ammunition in its protective box, which was manipulated by the minor and was detected by educational authorities of the campus.
In September 2024, A 15 -year -old student was shot while receiving classes in the municipal gymnasium of Colomba, Quetzaltenango.
